UMass Boston Team Welcomes Input on New DEI Role

Sports2

Additional input opportunities are available.

A UMass Boston team comprised of directors and associates from the Collins Center for Public Management and Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy is in the process of preparing recommendations regarding the creation of the new Town role tentatively titled Diversity Officer.

Last month, the team held three listening sessions – one virtual and two in-person – to hear from community members about their perspectives and suggestions regarding this new position. The team sincerely thanks all of those who participated.

At these sessions, the team invited community input through email or a one-on-one conversation with a team member. As the team works to make sure that it hears from all residents who would like to offer feedback, it has extended the deadline for community input through May 20th at 6 pm.

Hear directly from UMass Boston’s Dr. Laurie Nsiah-Jefferson about this opportunity for input https://youtu.be/AU0FcIQ6Tho

The email address for sending input is christa.kelleher@umb.edu.

Christa is pleased to receive feedback via email or a brief phone conversation.
