DOCUMENTS & INFORMATION REGARDING
(1) 2022 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING,
(2) 2021 ANNUAL TOWN REPORT, and
(3) 2022 ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION
(1) The 2022 Annual Town Meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Berlin Memorial School, 34 South Street, Berlin, MA 01503. If a second date is needed to attend to unfinished business, Town Meeting will reconvene on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at Berlin Memorial School. Each voter household will receive in the mail the following three documents which should be brought to Town Meeting (these documents were mailed on Monday, April 18, 2022, through the US Post Office, Berlin)
- The Pre-2022 Annual Town Meeting MAILER includes the following documents:
- The 2022 Annual Town Meeting Warrant
- The Finance Committee Annual Report
- The Finance Committee's Recommended Fiscal Year 2023 Budget (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023)
The articles were discussed in greater depth at "Coffee Talk" which took place virtually on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 6:30 PM.
The recording of that meeting is being processed and soon a link to that video will be posted here and on the Town of Berlin's official YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/townofberlintv
(2) The 2021 Annual Town Report is available online here for voter review before hard copies are available. This is the first year that this book will not be mailed to each voter household. This was done to avoid waste of paper and reduce costs and so much fewer books are being printed. Printed books will be available at Annual Town Meeting and the Town Offices.
(3) The 2022 Annual Town Election will be held from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the Town Offices Building, 23 Linden Street, Berlin, MA 01503. Registered voters should park in the front lot, enter the front doors, and take either the stairs or elevator to Lower Level Room 114.
- Offices on the ballot are as follows: Moderator for one year; Select Board member for three years; Assessor for three years; Constable for three years; Assabet Valley Regional Vocational District School Committee for four years; Library Trustee for three years; Trustee of Trust Funds for three years; Cemetery Commissioner for three years; Planning Board for five years; Board of Health for three years.
