Mr. JEFFRIES. Madam Speaker, as chair of the House Democratic Caucus, I have been directed to report to the House that the Democratic Members have selected as majority whip the distinguished gentleman from the great State of South Carolina, the Honorable James E. Clyburn; and as Assistant Speaker, the distinguished gentlewoman from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Honorable Katherine Clark.
