There were 9,274 students enrolled in Framingham Public Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 5.1% more than the year before, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.3% identified as male, 48.5% identified as female, and 0.2% identified themselves as non-binary or did not specify their gender.

Framingham Public Schools registered the 12th-largest enrollment in the state.

Framingham Public Schools roughly covers schools within Middlesex County, and has a main office in Framingham.

Students in Massachusetts are predominantly white, making up 53% of the student population in the state. Hispanic students come in second, representing over 25% of Massachusetts’ student body.

However, across the state, Hispanic and Native American students suffered the highest high school dropout rates.

Under representation is also found among educators in Massachusetts. The Rennie Center reported that only 9% of teachers are people of color.
