#19 Amherst handles #25 Bowdoin, 8-1

On Friday afternoon, the #19 Amherst College men’s squash team earned their sixth win of the season versus the #25 Bowdoin College Polar Bears (who are now 4-12 for the season) with a comfortable 8-1 victory on the Davenport Squash Courts.


Amherst’s record improves to 6-3 for the season. Up next: the Mammoths’ win versus Bowdoin kicks off a weekend with three successive games versus NESCAC opponents on the Davenport Squash Courts. Amherst will next welcome the #21 Colby College Mules (who are currently 5-5) to western Massachusetts for a game that will begin at 2 pm on Saturday.


GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

  • The Mammoths secured wins in matches from the #2 through the #9 spot
  • The matches at the bottom seven of the order were won by Amherst players in straight sets
  • Junior Kedar Nagaraj’s match at the #1 spot lasted the longest by a considerable margin with a 1hr 2min duration
